1. GENERAL TERMS

Lessor: GetBoat.gr.

Lessee: The individual renting the boat.

  • The lessee must be at least 23 years of age, as verified by a valid passport or official ID.
  • The lessee must be physically able to operate the boat safely.
  • The lessor reserves the right to refuse rental if the lessee is deemed unfit to operate the boat safely.

2. OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY

  • Only the main lessee is permitted to operate the boat.
  • If additional operators are allowed, they must be identified and sign the agreement.
  • The lessee is fully responsible for any damage caused by unauthorized operators.
  • No speedboat license is required for operation.

3. RESERVATION & PAYMENT

  • Bookings must be made at least 1-2 days in advance via phone, email, or website (www.getboat.gr).
  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due at the time of boat pick-up.
  • Rental price includes:

    • Insurance
    • Ice cooler
    • Swimming ladder
    • Rescue and firefighting equipment (as per Greek law)
    • Anchor, awning, and sound system

4. PICK-UP & RETURN

  • The boat will be delivered clean, fully operational, and seaworthy.
  • The lessee is liable for any material damage or loss of equipment.
  • The lessee must arrive at least 30 minutes before the agreed pick-up time.
  • A valid ID or passport is required for all passengers.
  • The boat is delivered with a full fuel tank (fuel cost is not included in the rental price).
  • The boat must be returned on time, clean, and in the same condition as received.
  • Fuel consumption is measured upon return, and the lessee is responsible for refueling costs.

5. LEGISLATION & SAFETY

  • The lessee and passengers must comply with all Hellenic Coast Guard regulations.
  • Alcohol and drug consumption by the boat operator is strictly prohibited.
  • If the lessee is intoxicated at pick-up, the rental will be canceled, and a cancellation fee will be charged.
  • The boat must stay within the designated area as shown on provided maps.
  • A working mobile phone must be on board at all times for safety purposes.

6. OPERATIONAL RULES

  • Maintain a minimum distance of 200 meters from shore, swimmers, and buoys when at high speed.
  • The boat must not travel more than 3 miles from shore.
  • The operator is responsible for monitoring currents, winds, and seabed conditions.
  • Beach Landing Procedures:
    • Reduce speed to 5 knots within 50 meters of shore.
    • Turn off the engine at least 20 meters from shore.
    • Use an anchor for beach landings (dragging the boat ashore is prohibited).
    • The operator must be the last to leave the boat after securing it.

7. PASSENGER GUIDELINES

  • The boat must not exceed its maximum capacity.
  • Passengers must be evenly distributed for stability.
  • Life jackets must be worn at all times.
  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

8. INSURANCE & LIABILITY

  • All boats are covered by third-party liability insurance.
  • Additional comprehensive insurance is available upon request at an extra cost.
  • The lessee is responsible for any damage caused due to negligence or improper operation.

9. PET POLICY

  • Pets are allowed upon request.
  • The owner is responsible for cleaning; otherwise, a cleaning fee will be charged.
  • The lessee is responsible for any damage caused by pets.

10. CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Free rescheduling is allowed if the cancellation is made at least 5 days in advance.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure result in loss of deposit.
  • If weather conditions prevent safe sailing, the rental can be rescheduled or refunded.

11. PROHIBITED USE

The boat must not be used for:

  • Racing or competitive events.
  • Any illegal purpose.
  • Transporting hazardous materials.
  • Towing other watercraft, tubes, or skis.
  • Operating after dusk or during the night.
  • Exceeding passenger capacity.
  • Reckless or negligent behavior.
  • Operation under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Any activity that may cause engine or structural damage.
  • Traveling outside the designated area.

12. LEGAL AGREEMENT

  • Subleasing the boat is strictly prohibited.
  • Any breach of these terms may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.
  • Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kavala, Greece.
  • This agreement constitutes the entire rental contract, superseding any previous agreements.

By signing the rental agreement, the lessee acknowledges and agrees to all the terms stated above.
